Korea Festival in Auckland 2016
The Korean Consulate is excited to present the Korea Festival in Auckland 2016, celebrating the unique relationship between New Zealand and Korea.
This October will see Auckland become a Korean cultural playground, with free events taking place right throughout the month, celebrating Korean food, music, art and film.
Talent of Korea Gala Concert

- B-boy Crew
- Dohnanyi Piano Quintet
- University of Auckland Jazz Trio
- Baroque recorder specialist, Kevin Kim
- Original contemporary dance piece, inspired by Korean culture
- Rising Talent
- Special performance by pianist Jane Sohn with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra, performing ‘Totentanz’ by Franz Liszt (conductor: Peter Thomas).

Ottchil Art from Korea, Master Sungsoo Kim

A free exhibition of Ottchil art from Korea by Master Sungsoo Kim.
Duruje Festival & K-Pop Contest
Sat 8 Oct, 4pm-8pm | The University of Auckland Quad | FREE
This festival includes Korean cultural events, food stalls and more, with the K-Pop Contest “Celebrating Korea Festival in Auckland with K-Pop Fans” from 6pm.
K-Food Tasting Event
Throughout October | FREE at participating stores

Participating companies: Ottogi NZ, Chongga Kimchi (Lim’s), Wang, Quality Supply, Hanyang.
Items: Korean ice-cream, coffee-flavoured beverage, Aloe juice, seaweed snack, and instant cup noodles, mayonnaise, rice snack, Kimchi, tofu, dumplings and many more.
