Auckland Council’s chief sustainability officer, John Mauro, has spoken to the New Zealand Herald about the benefits of green buildings.

As part of its series The French Connection, on environmental advances in infrastructure, Mr Mauro delves into the practicality of green buildings.

He builds on the case he made in his recent Auckland Sustainability Quarterly report, where he argues that green infrastructure could save Auckland millions.

Green buildings focus on energy and water use, air quality and increases in workplace productivity, making them more in demand than ever.
