Anzac Day is a time to reflect on the servicemen and servicewomen, past and present, who have displayed courage and self-sacrifice serving our country.


Join us for the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum in the Auckland Domain – further details below.

CENTRAL AUCKLAND & HAURAKI GULF ISLANDS


Epsom Anzac Service

  • Service: 11am, Marivare Reserve, Cnr Ranfurly and Manukau Rds.
  • Other Details: Please bring own seating and weather protection. Arranged by Rotary Club Maungakiekie

 

Mt Albert Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 9.00am at Councillors Dr carpark.
  • Parade Commences: 9.20am on Councillors Dr. From there, it moves down the footpath of Wairere Ave turning onto the footpath of New North Rd and then left into the Memorial Hall.
  • Service: 9.30am at Mt Albert War Memorial Cenotaph and Hall, 773 New North Rd.
  • Other details: Light refreshments will be offered in the Memorial Hall from 10.30am at the conclusion of the service.


Coyle Park Sunset Service

  • Parade Assembly: 5.20pm at the western end of the park under the pine trees. There will be a piper to call you over.
  • Parade Commences: 5.30pm, from the carpark to the western point of Coyle Park.
  • Service: 5.30pm at Coyle Park, 528 Pt Chevalier Rd.
  • Other Details: As the sun sets on Anzac Day , join the Albert-Eden Local Board as a lone bugler plays "The Last Post".

Mt Roskill Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 9.30am at the Oakley Creek bridge by the baseball diamond. Easiest access and parking is either from the War Memorial grounds, or at the May Rd end of Gifford Ave opposite 60 Gifford Ave.
  • Parade Commences: 9.50am
  • Service: 10.00am at Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall, 15 May Rd.
  • Other Details: Morning tea will be served in the Hall following the service. Wet weather option for the service is inside Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall.

St Heliers Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 9.30am at Vellenoweth Green
  • Parade Commences: 9.45am, Vellenoweth Green to the Cenotaph at the bottom of St Heliers Bay Rd.
  • Service: 10.00am at St Heliers Village
  • Road Closures: Tamaki Drive closed from The Parade to Turua St.
  • Other Details: Parking will be restricted in some side streets.


Grey Lynn Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 9.00am, cnr of Richmond Rd and Castle St
  • Parade Commences: 9.30am. March along Richmond Rd and turn left into Francis St to front of Clubrooms where Service will commence.
  • Service: 9.45am outside Clubrooms, 1 Francis St.
  • Road Closures: Half rolling closure of Richmond Rd for approx. 5 minutes
  • Other Details: Following the service, all will be invited in for morning tea

 College Rifles Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 8.30am, cnr of Minto and Remuera Rds
  • Parade Commences: 9am, walk along Remuera Rd turning down Haast St to College Rifles Rugby Club.
  • Service: 9.15am at College Rifles Rugby Club and Sports Complex, 33 Haast St.
  • Road Closures: Remuera Rd Between Minto Rd & Haast St and down Haast St while the parade makes its way to the College Rifles Rugby Club
  • Other Details: This will be an outdoor Service. Complimentary morning tea held in the Clubrooms after the conclusion of the Service.

Pt Chevalier Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 10am at Point Chevalier Rugbly League Club, 417 Point Chevalier Rd.
  • Parade Commences: 10.30am. Parade will march to the top of Dignan St.
  • Service: 11am at Point Chevalier Bowling Club, 25 Dignan St.
  • Other Details: Lunch and refreshments will be available after the service from lunch time.

Mt. Eden Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 10.40am Cnr of Dominion Rd and Dexter Ave, Balmoral.
  • Parade Commences: 10.55am
  • Service: 11am at Mt Eden War Memorial Hall, 489 Dominion Rd.
  • Road Closures: These will be between 10.55am and 11.05am
  • Other Details: Refreshments will be available in the hall after the event. Those wanting to lay a wreath or take part in the service should contact Viv Young before 15th April 2025

Panmure Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Commences: 10.30am, 163 Queens Rd. Parade will be led by a local youth brass band, west down Queens Rd, right into Pilkington Rd, right into Community Hall carpark where the parade will fall out.
  • Service: 10.45am Panmure Community Hall, 7/13 Pilkington Rd.
  • Road Closures: The left hand side heading west dowb Queens Rd will be closed for a maximum of 15 minutes from 10.30am.

 Newmarket Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 8.45am at Teed St.
  • Parade Commences: 9am. Parade will go up Teed St, along Broadway towards Olympic Reserve for the service.
  • Service: 9.10am at Olympic Reserve, just north of the Olympic Pool building on Broadway
  • Road Closures: Rolling road closure between Teed St - along Broadway - to Olympic Reserve during parade
  • Other Details: Rolling road closures will be supported by Police, with the support of Newmarket Security mobile patrol officers and CCTV surveillance operator.

 Onehunga Anzac Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 8.45am Cnr of Church St and Onehunga Mall Rd.
  • Parade Commences: 9.15am. Parade heads down towards the RSA (Club Onehunga 2020) where the service will commence.
  • Service: 10am at Club Onehunga 2020, 57 Princes St.
  • Road closure details: Part of Princes St and part of Onehunga Mall Road.
  • Other details: Complimentary finger foods and entertainment after the service at Club Onehunga 2020 for the day.

  • Parade Assembly: 5am at Auckland War Memorial Museum underground carpark
  • Parade Commences: 5.45am

Ōrākei RSA Service

  • Parade Assembly: 10.15am next door to 178 Kepa Rd. Ōrākei in the Tile Warehouse carpark which is gated. There is a very short march at 10.30am within the gated area due to the safety and age of those attending.
  • Parade Commences: 10.30am, there is a very short march within the gated area due to safety.
  • Service: 10.30am at 178 Kepa Rd.
  • Other details: Ōrākei RSA opens for breakfast for members and guests before the service between 7am-9.30am. The bistro will open for lunch 12pm-2pm.

Aotea/Great Barrier Anzac Service

  • Service: 12pm, Tryphena Hall, Great Barrier Island

WEST AUCKLAND


New Lynn RSA Parade & Service

  • Parade Assembly: 8.45am at Memorial Sq (behind McDonalds)
  • Parade Commences: 9am down McRae Wy, right onto Great North Rd, right onto Memorial Drive and left along Totara Ave back to RSA.
  • Service: 9.30am at New Lynn RSA, 2 Veronica St.
  • Road Closures: Totara Ave, Memorial Dr, McRae Wy and the portion of Great North Rd between Memorial Drive and McRay Wy will be closed.
  • Other Details: A light morning tea will be provided for those attending the service. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner

 Titirangi RSA Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 10.10am at carpark adjacent to Hardware Café, Titirangi Village

  • Service: 10.30am at Titirangi War Memorial Hall Carpark, 500 South Titirangi Rd.
  • Road Closures: 10am to 10.45am, Rangiwai Rd to outside Deco.
  • Other Details: Lunch and refreshments will be available in the Titirangi RSA after the service as well as a sausage sizzle for the kids in the War Memorial Hall

 Henderson RSA Civic Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 11am at the Fire Station on Railside Ave
  • Parade Commences: 11.15am down Railside Ave to outside Henderson RSA

  • Road Closures: Railside Ave and Edsel St partial closures; Catherine, Pioneer, Dora, Cranwell St's entirely closed.

 Te Atatū Memorial SRA Parade and Service

  • Parade Assembly: 9.30am outside 584 Te Atatu Rd (Kaumatua Reserve)

  • Service: 10am at Te Atatū Peninsula Community Centre, 595 Te Atatū Rd.

Avondale RSA Civic Service

  • Parade Assembly: 9.30am at Avondale RSA, 48 Rosebank Rd.
  • Parade Commences: 9.40am at 48 Rosebank Rd, turn left to Great North Rd, march towards Memorial Reserve
  • Service: 10.00am at St Ninians Memorial, cnr Great North and 26 St Georges Rds, Avondale 
  • Road Closures: 7am to 12pm
  • Other Details: After service, return to Club Rooms, Avondale RSA, 48 Rosebank Rd for refreshments. St. Ninians is also open for a cup a tea straight after the service.

  • Other Details: Service begins at Waimauku War Memorial Hall with guest speakers and the inclusion of the Waimauku Primary School. The parade will form and march to the RSA where the Flag raising ceremony etc will then be followed by refreshments. All welcome.
