이제 막 3살이된 여아를 둔 엄마입니다. 슬슬 주위 학교를 알아보고 있어요.
집 근처 Ellerslie에 위치한 st Marys primary school 를 보내고 싶은데, in zone 이 아니라서 입학될 가능성이 궁금해요.
저는 천주교 신자이고 아이는 아직 세례를 받지 않았어요.
세례를 받으면 입학 확률이 올라가나요?

홈페이지에 상세 내용 나오네요. 해당 하시는 내용이 앞조항이시면 입학에 더 유리 합니다. 전 예전에 큰애 카톨릭 학교 보낼때는 주위 카톨릭 신자하고 손잡고 성당가서 신부님하고 면담하고 추천서에 서명받은걸 제출 했었고 둘째는 큰애가 세례를 받아 sibling 조항으로 입학 했었던 기억이 있네요. 확실하진 않지만 세례증서가 같은 교구꺼야 한다는 얘기도 있었습니다만 친구가 학교에 위치한 교구 천주교 신자라 전 상관이 없었습니다.
The Criteria for Preference of Enrolment in Integrated Catholic Schools
● 5.1 The child has been baptised or is being prepared for baptism in the Catholic Church.
● 5.2 The child’s parents/guardians have already allowed one or more of its siblings to be baptised in
the Catholic faith.
● 5.3 At least one parent/guardian is a Catholic, and although their child has not yet been baptised,
the child’s participation in the life of the school could lead to the parents having the child baptised.
● 5.4 With the agreement of the child’s parent/guardian, a significant familial adult such as a
grandparent, aunt or uncle who is actively involved in the child’s upbringing undertakes to support
the child’s formation in the faith and practices of the Catholic Church.
● 5.5 One or both of a child’s non-Catholic parents/guardians is preparing to become a Catholic.
