안녕하세요? 호주 영주권자인데 뉴질랜드로 가면 공항에서 거주비자주는것으로 싸이트검색해보니 알겠더라 구요.
그런데 궁금한게 있는데 아내가 아이를 가졌을때 초음파검사. 더나아가 출산도 계획을히고있는데 메디케어가 어떻게 진행되는건지? 몰라서요 아무리 무상복지 의료시스템이라해도 의료비가 그래도 좀나올텐데 이비용을 제가 내하는건지 ? 아니면 뉴질정부가 호주정부에 청구하는시스템인건가요?
궁금한데 아시는분 답변좀부탁드립니다.

호주와 뉴질랜드 상호의료동의서에의해 의료에 대한 풀 혜택을 받으시려면,2년이상 거주 또는 그와 상응하는 합리적인 의도가 있으시거나 하시면 all publicly funded services를 이용하실 수 있다고 합니다. 또한 PHO에 가입되어 혜택을 받으 실수도 있다고 합니다.
그러나 2년 미만 거주자의 경우에 혜택은,
1) They are on a temporary visit (up to two years long) to New Zealand AND
2) in the opinion of the provider of medical treatment, need immediately necessary medical treatment while in New Zealand.
뉴질랜드에 임시로 거주 하시며, 그에 따른 의료행위가 즉각적으로 그리고 꼭 필요한 의료 행위여야 한다고 합니다. 여기에는 pharmaceutical benefits, hospital services, and maternity services 가 포함 되실 수 있습니다. 자세한 내용은 링크를 확인해 주세요.

I’m from Australia, and I’m thinking of moving to New Zealand to live. Do I need to enrol when I get there?
New Zealand doesn’t have a national Medicare system like Australia. Eligibility is instead assessed by the provider at the time the health services are provided. If a person is eligible, treatment is provided under the same conditions as for New Zealand citizens, and is subject to the same charges as New Zealanders would pay.
In New Zealand, eligible people can enrol with primary health organisations (PHO), which entitles them to subsidised primary health care, such as GP consultations and pharmaceuticals. Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents are able to enrol with a PHO if they are staying in New Zealand for at least two years (counting from the day they arrived).
If you think you qualify in this way, you’ll need to show the PHO your passport (including your residence visa if it is not an Australian passport), and proof that New Zealand will be your principal place of residence for two years or more (for example, work contract, house long-term lease, ownership, or mortgage and your Australian Passport or your valid Passport of your own nationality with a current Australian Resident Visa.
