주위분들이 초등학생 유학에 대해 많이 문의하시는데..초등학생3학년-6학년이 부모를 동반하지 않고 법적 가디언만 있으면 유학이 가능한지요? 가능한 학교가 있다고 들었다고 알아봐 달라고 하는군요. 아시는분 있으시면 안내좀 부탁 드립니다.

[ Guardians ]
You may have to be accompanied by a guardian (your parent or legal guardian), who will come to New Zealand with you. You need a guardian if you are enrolled in years 1 to 8 of a school, or a student aged 13 or under and enrolled in a private training establishment.
[ Legal guardians ]
Under student policy, a legal guardian is the person with the legal right and responsiblity to provide for the care (including education and health) of an international student. This person usually provides for the care of the student in the student's home country. This definition includes the student's biological or adoptive parents, testamentary guardian, or court-appointed guardian.

일단 아이가 한국나이로 만으로 11세이상이면 가능합니다^^
즉 힌국나이로 12세이상(그럼 한국의 초등학교 5학년이상 인가요?)
조건은....
If you are enrolled in years 1 to 8 of a school, or you are a student aged 13 or under and enrolled in a private training establishment, your parent or legal guardian must apply for a special visitor’s visa known as a guardian visa. A guardian visa allows your parent or legal guardian to live with and care for you in New Zealand.
However, your parent or legal guardian won’t have to accompany you if you are:
a domestic student, or
enrolled in a school hostel approved by the Code Administrator at the Ministry of Education, or
in years 7 or 8 of a school, or aged 11 to 13 years and enrolled in any other provider which has approval from the Code Administrator at the Ministry of Education.
즉 한국의 만나이로 11~13세학생(힉년으로 치면 Year 7~8...즉 인터과정입니다)이
위 조건이 맞는다면 가능합니다.
일단 기숙사는 좀 그렇고...
유학생을 받는...인터과정의 학교에서 학생의 나이가 만으로 11세가 되서 받아주고...
그 학교가 approval from the Code Administrator at the Ministry of Education 된 곳이라면...
뭐 일단 이 문제는 대부분 현재 유학생을 받는 학교는 다 되있을 것입니다^^
하여튼 인터과정 즉 Year 7 이상에 입학이 가능하면...
그리고 학교에서 입학을 허락한다면(유학생을 안 받는 곳도 있기에)
부모동반없이...그리고 법적 가디언이 없이도
현지에서 홈스테이 하면서 유학이 가능합니다...
즉 학생비자를 받을 수있습니다^^
그리고 잘못알고계신 것이 있으신데...법적가디언은...
일단 위 조건이 안 맞을때 법적 가디언이 필요 한 것입니다^^
