(1)Commercial fishers must not take or possess any shortfinned or longfinned eel weighing more than 4 kg.
(2)No person may sell, possess for sale, or process for sale any shortfinned or longfinned eel weighing more than 4 kg.

(2)Subclause (1) does not apply if 2 escapement tubes with an inside diameter of not less than 31 mm are incorporated behind the last trap or throat, and before the last part of the net capable of holding eels while in the water (except that the inside diameter of both ends of the tube must be at least 32 mm).
