What Toddler Day Out Is All About!
Core Outcome
To provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers of the community with under fives and to raise awareness of the importance of the early years, and link to support available to them and their children.
Our Role
To fundraise, administer, collaborate, promote and conduct the event with the ECE sector, parenting and other health and social services, as well as providing accountability reports to funders and sectors.
Highlights
Toddler Day Out held Saturday 1st March 2014 was well attended by approximately 14,000 people and over 80 community organisations. An amazing day filled with smiles, fun and laughter. Lots of busy young minds learning with puzzles, face painting dolls, collage, stories, playing with gloop, weaving, visiting the pink tent, building with natural materials and play dough. Parents talked with the services who support them, and also many received massages or health advice from our awesome team. We also had children bouncing and sliding, dancing and singing, and generally having a great time. Many smiles were the order of the day! It was also great to see the parents and caregivers interacting with their children in new and creative ways.
