Be inspired at Access All Areas: The Universal Design Symposium 2016
In October at the Viaduct Events Centre the spotlight will be on universal design as some of New Zealand’s top creative minds converge at Access All Areas: The Universal Design Symposium 2016.
The symposium will showcase the diversity of universal design, including public buildings and shared spaces, workplaces, housing, and transport and will ask how we can work together to put people at the centre of the design process.
Hear from the experts
The full-day event features a keynote speech from Valerie Fletcher from the Institute of Human Centred Design in Boston. Valerie will highlight the importance of people in design.
Attendees can also enjoy talks from a range of experts in this field including the Auckland Design Office, Auckland Transport, Be.Accessible, The Blind Foundation, Boffa Miskell, Lifemark, Moller Architects, Te Roopu Waiora Trust and Dr Zena O'Connor.
In the afternoon there will be a panel discussion on Shared Spaces and attendees can then take part in one of the following city tours – Activate Auckland, Design for Safety, The Heritage Trail, Shared Spaces and Universal Design.
The cost for attending the symposium is $152.52. Registrations close on October 14.
