(KCR방송=뉴질랜드) 전 빌 잉글리쉬 총리를 비롯하여 가수, 코미디언, 방송인, 성 매매업 종사자들을 위한 인권 주의자, 화학 박사 등이 오늘 Queens Birth Day를 맞아 작위 및 훈장과 표창장을 받게 된다.

 

금년도 작위와 훈장 수여자들은 192명으로 알려졌으며, 처음으로 남성보다는 여성 수여자들이 더 많은 것으로 나타났다.

 

빌 잉글리쉬 전 총리는 작위를 수여받고, 앞으로 모든 공식 행사에서는 윌리엄 경으로 불리게 되며, 그의 아내도 Lady 라는 호칭을 받게 된다.

 

또, 여자 럭비의 Black Fern 출신과 장애인 올림픽 출신, 승마, 삼종 경기 등 유명 스포츠인들도 오늘 명단에 포함되어 있다.
