안녕하세요.

워킹 홀리데이 비자로 현재 근무하는 회사에서 6개월 근무 후
같은 직책으로 permanent role을 제안 받고 워크 비자를 신청하려 합니다.

이런 경우에 회사에서 다시 구인 공고를 내지 않고
워크 비자 지원이 가능한가요?
현재 회사 사장으로 구인공고를 내는것이 불가능해서요 ㅠㅠ
워홀 비자에서 워크 비자로 바꾸신 분들이 계시다면 조언 부탁드립니다.

If you want to apply for a work visa then you will likely be applying under ESSENTIAL SKILLS. That type of application requires advertising for the role. However, you should be aware that it is not so simple as just to apply and then you will get the visa. The point is that your employer must demonstrate they have made a genuine attempt to recruit New Zealand workers, and that no suitable workers are available.

After the Covid-19 lockdown, thousands of New Zealanders have lost their jobs. That means that there may be a large number of people applying for the position. In this case, your employer will really have to show why any applicants are not suitable. It doesn't matter that they want to hire you or that you may be the best candidate. It only matters whether there are suitably qualified New Zealanders available.

Because of this, I would advise you to be cautious, and make sure that your employer is alaso aware of this requirement.
