Role Overview: We are seeking a Building Inspector Administrator / Coordinator to provide critical administrative and operational support to our Building Inspection team. You will play a key role in organising inspection schedules, managing documentation, and ensuring efficient communication between inspectors, clients, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule building inspection appointments
Manage inspection requests, logs and reporting systems
Maintain accurate electronic and physical records
Answer enquiries from anybody requiring a building inspection
Prepare and issue inspection notices and correspondence
Support building inspectors with administrative needs
Assist with compliance documentation and permit tracking
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
✔ Strong organisational and multitasking skills
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication
✔ Experience in administrative or customer service roles
✔ Comfortable using computer systems, databases and MS Office
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Knowledge of inspection processes (advantage)
Qualifications
Minimum NZQA Level 3 qualification or equivalent
Previous experience in construction or building services preferred
Experience with compliance documentation and administrative coordination
