About the Role
You will be a key member of our project delivery team, responsible for transforming design concepts into precise, compliant, and buildable technical documents. You will work closely with experienced designers and project managers to ensure every stage of the project, from consent to completion, runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage Building Information Models (BIM) using Revit.
Produce high-quality construction drawings, building consent application drawings, and documentation.
Ensure all drawings comply with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) , district plans, and relevant industry standards.
Prepare, lodge, and follow up on building consent applications, coordinating communication with council officials and consultants.
Update and revise drawings promptly based on design changes, consultant feedback, or site conditions.
Assist the team with material schedules, design briefs, and other related administrative tasks.
About You
We are seeking someone passionate about construction and eager to solve practical problems through precise documentation.
Essential Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in architectural drafting or technician roles in bespoke residential houses design within New Zealand.
Software Skills: Proficient in Autodesk Revit (essential), including familiarity with templates, families, view templates, and sheet sets. Knowledge of Sketchup, AutoCAD and Adobe suites are beneficial.
Standards & Codes: Familiar with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC), NZS 3604, and relevant regulations such as the Auckland Unitary Plan.
Local Processes: Knowledgeable about the local resource and building consent process; experience independently handling residential or light commercial projects is highly regarded.
Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills; strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
