Youth Job Coach

(Fixed-Term | Full-Time or Part-Time)

CNSST Foundation is seeking caring, motivated Youth Job Coaches to help rangatahi (18–24) build confidence, develop employability skills, and transition successfully into the workforce.

About the Role

You will support young people to explore careers, build skills, and succeed in employment.

You will:

• Provide 1:1 employment coaching (CVs, job search, interview skills)

• Train and mentor youth through practical workshops and employability activities

• Help youth develop professional and workplace communication

• Actively collaborate with employers, local organisations, and community partners

• Grow and maintain a network of employers for job opportunities

• Provide follow-up support to help young people sustain employment

• Keep accurate case notes and follow organisational procedures

What We’re Looking For

You must:

• Communicate clearly and professionally in English

• Be bilingual or multilingual to support diverse communities

• Demonstrate empathy, respect, and a willingness to learn

• Work well in a team and follow organisational processes

• Be confident using digital tools (emails, job platforms, case notes)

• Hold a Full NZ Driver Licence and have your own vehicle

Relevant Backgrounds

This role may suit those with experience in youth work, employment services, education, coaching, social services, or community support.
Experience working with ethnic migrant communities, Māori or Pacific youth, or fluency in languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Hindi, or Pacific languages is highly valuable.
