BAS Accountant - Compliance & Review Roles  

A vibrant and growing firm in Parnell has a fabulous opportunity for a BAS Accountant to take on compliance & review focused role.

Below is a brief description and requirements for the successful candidate:

• 1-3 years NZ CA firm experience
• Reviewing experience is a bonus, but not a must 
• High level of professionalism and enthusiasm
• Positive Attitude
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Potential to develop to become a compliance manager or tax partner
• Good level of computer skills 
  
• Experience in using Xero
  
• Full CA or provisional CA membership is a bonus, but not essential 

Duties will include:

• Preparation of annual, management and annual financial reports for a variety of entities, small to large organisations
• Compilation of Income Tax returns, GST, PAYE, FBT and other compliance work as required
• Reviewing of works completed by others
• Some exposure to due diligence, business restructures, and business valuations
• Supervision of Junior/Intermediate staff
• Direct report to the compliance manager 
• Some exposure to practice management including workflow & resource planning
  
• Some exposure to AML/CFT compliance and other regulatory compliance requirements 
• Assisting the consulting team with tax and regulatory advice
