Full-time Social Worker/Community Support Worker - Auckland

CNSST Foundation is one of the largest Asian-focused community organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand, providing culturally and linguistically appropriate wrap-around services to over 15,000 individuals annually. We are a High Trust government partner for providing accredited social work and counselling, tertiary education, accounting training, immigration advice and social housing services.

CNSST is recruiting a social worker or a community support worker who has demonstrated understanding and proficiency in effectively addressing issues of family violence, safety, and protection within families as well as supporting family wellbeing. Ideally, you will engage with men and their families who are at risk of ongoing family violence incidents, facilitating their access to services aimed at enhancing safety, parenting skills, and relationships.

We are looking for the person:

·         New Zealand or equivalent qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology or public health promotion

·         Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, as well as English

·         Knowledge of family violence, safety planning, and risk management

·         Understanding of local social systems and community resources

·         Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Flexibility, reliability, and professional boundaries

·         Positive attitude, able to work independently and collaboratively

·         Competency in using PC Software products and new technologies
